The Apollo Orchestra is happy to announce our annual Winter concert at the beautiful Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church.  This marvelously varied program will feature Chevy Chase Presbyterian’s own Julie Vidrick-Evans as organ soloist in the rarely heard Kammermusik no. 7  by Paul Hindemith.  Apollo is once again thrilled to partner with rising opera stars from the Kennedy Center’s Domingo/Cafritz Young Artist Program in selections and scenes from 3 great (and again, rarely presented) American operas: Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress; Floyd’s Sussanah; and Barber’s Vanessa.
The concert will conclude with one of the greatest landmarks in music history–Ludwig von Beethoven’s incomparable Symphony no. 3, “Eroica”
