Cara Fleck is one of the leading professional harpists in the Maryland, Virginia, and  Washington, D.C. region.  As Principal Harpist of The Apollo Orchestra, as well as a core member of the Grammy-nominated Inscape Chamber Orchestra, she performs at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore and National Gallery of Art. She has also appeared with the New Orchestra of Washington, Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Washington Chorus and National Philharmonic. An avid chamber musician, Cara performs with the Annapolis Chamber Players and has been in residence at the Pike Falls Chamber Music Festival in Jamaica, Vermont. In addition to regularly performing in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings, Cara frequently plays at weddings and private events. She is an approved business partner of the United States Naval Academy business services division, and her diverse repertoire list and professionalism continually bring praise from clients. Outside of her busy performance schedule, Cara is the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for the University of Maryland Department of Transportation Services. In her spare time, Cara enjoys living an active lifestyle. You'll find her on standup paddle boarding excursions with her husband, practicing yoga and playing with her French bulldog, Waldo.
